Your rights

Patient Bill of Rights

What you can expect — and what you are entitled to — as a SensibleDoc patient.

SensibleDoc and the physicians who treat you are committed to respectful, transparent, high-quality care. As a patient, you have the following rights.

1. Respectful, nondiscriminatory care

You have the right to considerate, respectful care free from discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or source of payment.

2. Information and informed decisions

  • To know the name and credentials of the licensed physician responsible for your care.
  • To receive clear information about your diagnosis, treatment options, expected benefits, material risks, and the regulatory status of any compounded medication, in language you can understand.
  • To give informed consent before treatment and to refuse or withdraw consent at any time.
  • To be told when software, including AI tools, assists your care — and to know that a licensed physician makes all clinical decisions.

3. Privacy and your records

  • To have your health information kept confidential and used and disclosed only as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
  • To access and obtain a copy of your medical records and to request corrections.
  • To communicate with your care team through secure, private channels.

4. Quality and safety

  • To safe, competent care consistent with professional standards.
  • To have your physician decline or modify treatment when it is not clinically appropriate for you.
  • To clear instructions on what to do in an emergency, and to be directed to in-person or emergency care when needed.

5. Transparency in cost

To know the cost of your membership and medications before you are charged, with no hidden fees, and to understand our cancellation and refund terms.

6. Voice and complaints

To ask questions, raise concerns, and file a complaint without affecting your care, and to receive a timely response. You may contact us at support@sensibledoc.com or, for privacy concerns, the Privacy Officer at support@sensibledoc.com. You may also contact your state medical board or board of pharmacy.

7. Your responsibilities

Good care is a partnership. You are responsible for providing accurate information, following your treatment plan and follow-up instructions, reporting changes and side effects, and treating the care team with respect.
