Seven questions to ask before you join an online lifestyle practice
Before you pay for online weight loss, sexual health, or hair care, ask who reviews you, how follow-up works, and what the real monthly cost is.

Online lifestyle care is common. That does not make every site a medical practice.
Before you pay, ask a few questions that ignore the ad and focus on who owns your chart.
Who reviews your case, and in which state?
Ask who reads the intake — a licensed physician or advanced practice physician, licensed where you live — and whether that person is on your record.
A long form is paperwork. A true visit is a qualified physician reviewing history, medications, and risks, then deciding whether care fits.
What happens after the first decision?
You need a path back to a physician, not only to billing or shipping.
Ask how you reach someone about side effects, dose questions, or whether to continue. Ask if follow-ups are included or billed as new visits.
If the only reply you get is a tracking number, that is logistics, not follow-up.
When will they say no?
A real practice can refuse a request. Ask what makes someone ineligible, and what happens if the answer is “not now” or “see someone in person first.”

Where does medicine come from?
Ask whether any medicine is FDA-approved or compounded, which pharmacy dispenses it, and whether that pharmacy is state-licensed.
Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. We say that plainly. Anyone who will not should not get your card.
What is the total monthly cost?
Separate membership from medicine. Ask whether the membership rate changes after month one, and what you pay if nothing is prescribed.

Can you bring a second concern without starting over?
